This Summer @ PCW

Welcome, Dr. Kayla May New Associate Doc in Derby

Hey I’m Dr. Kayla, I grew up just outside Great Bend, Kansas. I am a 2020 graduate of Cleveland Chiropractic college. While in school I fell in love with prenatal Chiropractic and pediatric chiropractic mainly because I had my first baby while in school and saw (and continue to see) so many benefits for not only myself but also my little boy! So earlier this year I became Webster certified, if you are new to chiropractic or new to prenatal chiropractic, Webster technique is a gentle chiropractic method that promotes optimal pelvic function and alignment for pregnant women.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and my two ginormous dogs. I have two kids so far, a lover of all things with wheels boy who will be starting kindergarten in the fall, a 2 year old adventurous little girl and one baby girl on the way!

Stop in and welcome her to the PCW family!! Dr. Kayla will be joining Dr. Pomeroy in Derby during all of his regular hours for now (with the plan of working solo in the future on days Dr. Pomeroy is not in Derby). Dr. Pomeroy is NOT LEAVING, just creating an additional opportunity for PCW patients to get outstanding chiropractic care in Derby.

Recipe to try

My husband and I are transitioning away from "junk" foods and working on bringing more healthful foods into our diet. This has been a monumental task as my husband does NOT like most foods labeled "healthy."

This recipe was a HIT! It also is great for those with food allergies or sensitivities.

TIP: Don't cheat on the lime juice. The fresh limes make all the difference! If you don't have a fancy juice extractor, just use a fork! Slice the lime in half, stab one side with your fork and squeeze the lime around it, rocking your fork back and forth get loads of juice out!

Enjoy! Let us know if you tried it and what you thought!

Summer Travel Suggestion

Beaver Lake/Table Rock Lake (Maddy)

We just had the most relaxing time at Beaver Lake. It is the perfect lake for all lake goers, whether you enjoy floating and relaxing or getting thrown around on a tube. The water is very clean & clear (compared to Kansas lakes for sure) and the scenery is very peaceful. I recommend an Airbnb or Vrbo over a hotel. It gives you more opportunity to be closer to the lakes and nature for a more relaxing vacation.

A single day in your courts is better than a thousand anywhere else! I would rather be a gatekeeper in the house of my God than live the good life in the homes of the wicked.
