Exciting Changes @ PCW

We are welcoming some new team members just in time for summer! Please stop in & introduce yourself to these new smiling faces. We are also saying goodbye to Jo & Maren as of June 1st. This Wednesday is your last chance to stop in and say farewell in the office. Take a moment to read about Dr. Alison & Sara and a farewell from Jo!

Welcome, Dr. Alison Moore!!

Dr. Alison Moore has been serving the Wichita and surrounding communities for three years after graduating from Cleveland University-Kansas City. Her first experience with chiropractic was as a teenager to help with low back pain she experienced playing sports. She has always had a passion for helping others, and now gets to live her dream by facilitating healing and wellness through the power of chiropractic. She is excited to continue to serve kids and families in the Derby community. When not in the office, she enjoys reading, attending country concerts, and most importantly spending time with her husband of five years and their two dogs. They are looking forward to welcoming their first child (it’s a girl!) in October.

Welcome, Sara!!

Sara has worked in a chiropractic office in several different capacities and enjoys seeing the many positive ways patients benefit from natural chiropractic care. As a strong believer in holistic wellness her own children, two daughters who are now young adults, have been under chiropractic care since birth. Sara spent 16 years as a massage therapist, caring for and addressing the healing needs and concerns of her clients. She now brings that same dedication and experience to her role as the newest team member at Pomeroy Chiropractic. In her free time she likes to spend quality time with her amazing family that consists of her husband of 30 years, 2 daughters and their dog, Kojak. She enjoys attending sporting events, as sports have always been an important part of her family’s life. In her free time, she loves reading, shopping, baking, traveling, and making lasting memories with loved ones.

Farewell, Jo & Maren!!

After nearly two years working with PCW, Jo will be moving on to her next calling: being a stay at home mom. Many of our patients have met her daughter, Maren, and shared many smiles with her while she’s been in the office alongside Jo for several months now. Jo is incredibly grateful for the opportunity she’s had to continue working while simultaneously being a mother, and even though leaving is very bittersweet, she’s excited to focus her energy on her little girl. Jo’s last day will be June 1, but she will always carry the heart and family of PCW with her wherever she goes!

🔍 Insight Scans: A Clearer Look at Your Nervous System

At our office, we believe in adjusting with purpose—not guesswork. That’s why we are beginning use Insight Scans, a quick and non-invasive technology that helps us better understand how your nervous system is functioning. An Insight Scan takes about 10 minutes and includes three different scans that work together to give us a clearer picture of where your body is under stress and how well it’s adapting. We are looking for volunteers to get scanned!!

Here’s what the three scans show us:

  • Thermal Scan – Measures temperature patterns along the spine to identify areas of nerve irritation or imbalance.

  • Surface EMG Scan – Looks at muscle tension and activity to show where muscles may be working overtime due to stress or misalignment.

  • Heart Rate Variability (HRV) Scan – Evaluates how well your nervous system handles stress and recovers, offering insight into overall adaptability and healing capacity.

Together, these scans allow us to identify key focus areas for your adjustment, monitor progress over time, and tailor your care to your body’s specific needs.
